From one "Fwend" to Another

I don't know about you, but I am such a fan of "The Inbetweeners". A friend lent me the DVD's and now I'm hooked! It's so realistic, I think that's what makes it so hillarious! Well,  it seems like it's taken forever for her birthday to come around but now that it finally has, take a look at  the card I made for her ...

"Fwend"

I just adore it and I think she is going to love it too! I used my new "Monograms Defined" stamp set which I  just love! Concidering the show is pretty................. well, I can't quite find the words actually.... ;) Let's just say this is the elegant version!

Recipe:
My Time Made Easy - "Monograms Defined" stamp set, Ribbon, White Card, Memento-Rich Cocoa ink, THDI-Worn Lipstick.
Tools: Marianne Die

I just checked out the tshirts you can buy on the net! Oh my, they are very "funny", but I don't think I could walk out in public in one though!!!

Thanks for popping by "Fwends" :)

A Mini Book, yet a big project!

It's been ages since I did any real scrapbooking and I had these gorgeous "Perfect Papers" by Pink Petticoat laying around so.......

Take a look:

We spent a lovely holiday in Greece a couple of years ago and I had so many lovely pictures that it's taken me this long to sort just a few to scrap! There are so many more I would have loved to do, but realistically it would have ended up the size of a Bible! I chose action shots that hold fun, happy memories to myself and my family and went with the flow...

Here's what I used:

Mini Book: "Bind It all" Machine, "Bind It All" Acetate covers/ White 6"² pages/ 3/4" Brown wires.
Papers: Pink Petticoat -Perfect Papers & Solid -Duck Egg.
Stamps: For the Luv of Art - Click, Papertrey Ink -It's Official, My Time Made Easy -Fanciful Flourishes, Basic Grey -Arrow set, Prima -Mesh/Corner Stamp, Maya Road -Calender Stamp.
Inks: Memento -Tuxedo Black, Tim Holtz Distress Ink -Scattered Straw/Faded Jeans.
Alphas: Pink Petticoat, My Little Shoebox alphas , Sizzix -Take it Easy strip die.
Other: Adhesive gems/pearls, Papertrey Ink -Buttons , Lilac Lace ribbon, Thread, Fineliner, Tissue Paper.
Tools: Bind It All machine, Nestabilities (Various), Martha Stewart XL Fan Border punch, Small circle punch, Sewing Machine, Stapler, Papertrey Ink - Eyelet Lace/Scalloped border dies, Sizzix Big Shot, Sizzix -Take It Easy Alphabet strip.

I'm so glad I stuck with this project, it took a long time but I know I'm going to treasure it.

Thanks for looking and to the lovely gals who always leave such lovely comments. I want to wish my fellow bloggers who are going on a wonderful craft weekend an awesome time. Have a fab time ladies, I can't wait to see the pics!

Have a great day, the sun is shining YAY!

Trying the CAS style out!

Another post? I know...... I blame it on the sunshine ;o)

There are so many lovely cards in blogland right now sporting the CAS style. If I'm being honest I don't know where it originates, is it someone called Cas? Or does CAS stand for something? If anyone knows please let me know!
This is such a simple card created using "My Time Made Easy -Grab a Cup" stamps.
As you can see I stamped the same cup image onto the inside of my card and also onto the envelope. I do like co-ordination :o)
I kept the shades of ink simple too. I used Memento -Rich Cocoa and TH -Tea Dye.

Recipe: MTME -Grab a Cup stamps, Memento -Rich Cocoa ink, THDI-Tea Dye.

And then I made another using "My Time Made Easy -On Display" stamps.

This is such a cute set of stamps, I stamped the lollipops repeatedly using different coloured inks and embellished them with adhesive gems.
At the base I stamped my sentiment from the same set using Memento -Rich Cocoa ink.
They look good enough to eat don't they?

Recipe: MTME -On Display stamps, Tim Holtz Inks -Barn Door, Milled Lavender, Shabby Shutters, Tattered Rose, Dusty Concord, Worn Lipstick, Memento -Rich Cocoa ink, Adhesive Gems.

I have to say, trying the CAS style was pretty fun and inspiring. Am I converted? Not completely, but I will be trying it more often.

Have you tried it? Why not give it a go and see where your creativity takes you? Signing off now, enjoy your week!

Pink Petticoat Creative Design Team - "Pink Christmas"

I wasn't able to post my latest Pink Petticoat creation with being away over Christmas, so I'd like to share it with you all now.

Here are the cards I created for the "Pink Christmas" theme...

No matter how much I love pink, it is one of those colours that can be very over powering if used too much of at one time. So, I thought the best way to use it was to use pink as an accent colour. Teamed with the beige creates a very subtle, elegant look.

I created the topper using about 10 layers of packing paper scalloped circles. Then topped it off with a circle of Pink Petticoat "Twas the Night before Christmas" paper before buttoning the whole lot together with a chunky "Papertrey Ink" button and white organza.

I was so pleased with the first card, I decided to make a seccond. I used all the same materials, changing only a few elements.

The Swirls I stamped twice, first with a lighter ink, followed by a darker ink ever so slightly off from the first print. This creates a nice shaddow look.

Recipe
Pink Petticoat Papers: 'Fairy Lights Collection' - Falling Snow (Pink) / Twas the Night before Christmas / Solid (Stone)

Other: Packing paper, PTI Button, Thread, TH Distress Ink - Pumice Stone, Memento Ink -Tuxedo Black, My Time Made Easy -Swirl stamp set, Liquid Pearls -Petal Pink, Organza ribbon.

Tools: Scalloped Circle/Circle Nestabilities, Sizzix Embossing Folder, PTI Scalloped border die, Martha Stewart Border Punch.

I'm such a girly girl and pink is so pretty I think, so I loved this theme :o) You can check this card out on the Pink Petticoat Blog here. Be sure to check out the wonderful giveaway Liz is offering whilst you are there :o)

Thanks for popping in. Have yourselves a wonderful evening.
