Pink Petticoat Creative Design Team - "Material Girl"

Good morning all! Hope you are happy and healthy :)

I'm suffering a bit at the moment with allergies, so I'm getting very little sleep and feeling a tad on the "run down" side, hmmph! I think it's the tree pollens around at the moment and I was less than impressed to find out I'd have to wait two days for a nose spray prescription!!! I know, so I nagged and nagged until she gave in and I can pick it up after 16:00 today!

On a much more fun note "Pink Petticoat" has just released a brand new digi stamp, which I have to say I have totally fallen in love with! It's so elegant, so pretty, so very my style of crafting : )

And here it is in action (available to buy in the boutique here)

I teamed the image with some Kraft to give a vintage look. I embossed the Kraft card with an "Argyle" cuttlebug embossing folder.

Check out those gorgeous butterflies.....aren't they adorable? They are one of my new die sets and are just so easy to achieve. I simply die cut them from "Pink Petticoat -Perfect Papers/Kraft", fixed together with a brad and folded the wings outward slightly. And isn't that ribbon just to die for!

The tag die is one of a set that I just bought from Joanna Sheens online shop by "Marianne Designs". I used "Cosmic Shimmer Twinkles" to highlight parts of the image and finished off with a nice friendly helping of adhesive pearls : ) And the sentiments ............you've gotta love the sentiments, there are loads of "Quirky" ones that'll make you smile : )

Recipe:
Pink Petticoat: 'Organics' Kraft Paper Pack, Image with Sentiment: 'Material Girl' Digi Stamp, Perfect Papers.
Other: Ribbon, Cosmic Shimmer Twinkles (Clear), Adhesive Pearls, Brad.
Tools: Embossing: Cuttlebug Argyle embossing folder, Butterfly: Crealies Creative Shapes, Label Die: Marianne Designs.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post today. If you haven't already, scroll down and add your comment in the below post to win yourself a copy of "Creative Cardmaking -Special Edition 7". It's a special "Pink Petticoat" edition and the Creative Design team each have 2 to give away! Check the blog here, to be in with a bigger chance of winning!

The winners will be announced in the morning. Thanks for taking part and have yourselves a great day.

Pink Petticoat Creative Design Team - "Tiny Baby Sentiments"

This week the creative team have been playing with the new "Baby Boy Buggy" image & "Tiny Baby Sentiments". To check out the amazing creations so far you can visit the Pink Petticoat blog here

Here is my contribution using the new sentiments...
I just had to make two!
The pram itself is made up of half circles, made from Nestabilities dies.
I embossed the Solid "Bluebell" from the colour collection and drew some lined detail to the parasol.
The lace ribbon gives a lovely "baby" feel to it I think.
The wheels are made from more circle Nestabilities dies and Papertrey Ink buttons. Some silver wire completes the frame.
I added some simple stitching to the pram and a sentiment across the middle.

These were a joy to make :)

Recipe:
Pink Petticoat: Patterned Paper: 'Gingham' in Pansy, 'Solid' Bluebell from the Colour Collection, 'Organics' Kraft Paper Pack
Other:Buttons, Wire, Lace Ribbon, Fineliner, and Thread
Tools: Circle Nestabilites, Needle

I hope you've enjoyed this project today. Why not try creating your own embellishments from scratch, the result is satisfying :o)

Have a great day.

Pink Petticoat "Vintage Rose" BLOG HOP and a chance to WIN!

Welcome to day two of the very first Pink Petticoat Blog Hop! I hope you've enjoyed the gorgeous projects so far and are ready for a bit more inspiration? Of course we are celebrating the latest issue of "Quick Cards" magazine which has released a gorgeous Pink Petticoat -Vintage Rose paper pack as it's free gift. This is the real deal people, you can touch it, stroke it, haud it or use it to your hearts desire.

Simply grab a copy of "Quick Cards" or why not try your luck at winning yourself your very own paper pack?

All you need to do is leave a comment and 2 lucky, randomly selected winners will each recieve these gorgeous papers. Leave a copy on each designer taking part in the blog hop and of course you'll have an even better chance :o)

Here are but a few ideas on how to get creative with these beautiful papers...

 Matching Card/Trinket Box

This is a delicate, pretty card using very little of the papers, so there will be plenty left over!

The Sentiment is from the digital Kit "Vintage Rose" which you can buy at a reduced price until the end of Feb! Why not go and grab yourself a bargain here?

Check out this little beauty! The wonder that is Origami, no glue whatsoever needed to make this gorgeous little trinket box. All you will need is 2 sheets from your pad to create this litte gem :o)

This is such a dainty size, perfect for jewelery, a couple of choccies or even somewhere to store little keepsakes. To create your own, check out this website and have fun! I promise you, you"ll be hooked!

Smile Card

Here I used layers of die cuts to create this lovely flower. The texture and contrast with the Kraft is the key here.

Again, limited use of the papers but just enough to make an impact. The Kraft cardstock is also from the "Vintage Rose" digital kit, just print off and away you go.

Last but by no means least...

Note Book

The beautifully dainty designs are perfect for mini projects and these buds were just yelling at me to be used!

This would make a lovely gift and was so easy to make. The brown paper and white tissue paper are both recycled elements, so this is a "Green" project too.

I used the "Bind It All" machine to bind my note book together.

So, now you have visited me (Katie), why not check out the rest of the "Pink Petticoat -Creative Design Team" and don't forget to leave a comment to be in with a chance to win!

Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope you have enjoyed what you have seen. I want to wish you all a wonderful creative day :o)

Pink Petticoat Creative Design Team - "Perfect Papers"

Hey everyone! It sure feels good being able to get on here. My children have both got the flu :( which has been hard work, exhausting and draining since Friday night! I thought my daughter had managed to stay clear of it until Tuesday night when she woke up with a 39.6 temp! We've been to the Docs and have lots of medicine, so fingers crossed it'll all calm down soon. Apparently it's all throughout the school at the moment, with 5 children off sick in my sons class!

Moving on to happier things.... Pink Petticoat has a brand new and totally gorgeous mini kit called no less than "Perfect Papers" inspired by Pink Petticoat itself.

To see the lovely papers in all their glory click here and don't forget to visit the Pink Petticoat Blog where you'll find some amazing, inspirational projects from the Creative Design Team. I'm telling you, they are stunning!

Here's my contribution this week, which you can also see on the blog too here.

I just couldn't resist the splash of lime and the huge bow!

There were so many gorgeous papers, I wasn't sure where to start! In the end I went for the black with white dots and the tiny squares and kept to a "Romantic" theme.

This card was a joy to make and I just couldn't resist the huge bow and the splash of lime! I rubbed the "Distress ink" over my papers to give an aged look.

Recipe: Pink Petticoat Papers, Kraft cardstock, Tissue Paper, Recycled corrugated card, Thread, Ribbon, Lace Ribbon, Adhesive Gems, Staples, Tim Holtz Ink - Pumice Stone.

Tools: Martha Stewart XL heart border punch, Oval Nestabilities, Staples

There's more fab "goings on" on the "Pink Petticoat" Blog next week, so do make sure you keep an eye out! I'll be sure to let you in on it all soon :o)

Thanks for your visit, come back soon :o)

Pink Petticoat Creative Design Team - "Pink Christmas"

I wasn't able to post my latest Pink Petticoat creation with being away over Christmas, so I'd like to share it with you all now.

Here are the cards I created for the "Pink Christmas" theme...

No matter how much I love pink, it is one of those colours that can be very over powering if used too much of at one time. So, I thought the best way to use it was to use pink as an accent colour. Teamed with the beige creates a very subtle, elegant look.

I created the topper using about 10 layers of packing paper scalloped circles. Then topped it off with a circle of Pink Petticoat "Twas the Night before Christmas" paper before buttoning the whole lot together with a chunky "Papertrey Ink" button and white organza.

I was so pleased with the first card, I decided to make a seccond. I used all the same materials, changing only a few elements.

The Swirls I stamped twice, first with a lighter ink, followed by a darker ink ever so slightly off from the first print. This creates a nice shaddow look.

Recipe
Pink Petticoat Papers: 'Fairy Lights Collection' - Falling Snow (Pink) / Twas the Night before Christmas / Solid (Stone)

Other: Packing paper, PTI Button, Thread, TH Distress Ink - Pumice Stone, Memento Ink -Tuxedo Black, My Time Made Easy -Swirl stamp set, Liquid Pearls -Petal Pink, Organza ribbon.

Tools: Scalloped Circle/Circle Nestabilities, Sizzix Embossing Folder, PTI Scalloped border die, Martha Stewart Border Punch.

I'm such a girly girl and pink is so pretty I think, so I loved this theme :o) You can check this card out on the Pink Petticoat Blog here. Be sure to check out the wonderful giveaway Liz is offering whilst you are there :o)

Thanks for popping in. Have yourselves a wonderful evening.
